Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a bad influence of the jitters, etc., by recording a pilot signal on a recording medium while recording a write signal synchronizing with the pilot signal, and then by generating read clock pulses synchronizing with clock pulses from a magnetic disk. CONSTITUTION:On track V of a recording medium, still picture signals of every line at an interval of a few lines are intermittently recorded with the time axis elongated, audio signals corresponding to the still picture signals for one field are recorded in real time on track A, and pilot signals of a frequency an integer greater than that of horizontal synchronizing signals are recorded on track C. When head HC reproduces and supplies a pilot signal and marker signal to counter 8, counter 8 detects the marker signal and counts pilot signals to generate a sybchronizing write pulse, which is applied to memory unit 6. On the other hand, counter 10 counts clock pulses from encoder E of magnetic disk D to generate read pulses for the 1H period, which are supplied to unit 6. Here, even if tape T would change in speed, the still picture and pilot signal are time-axis-expanded equally, and consequently no trouble is caused, so that the tape will run stably together with disk D.
