Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect securely phase absence and a falut of a diode by using a n -phase AC power supply as a main signal AC power supply, by using it as a sub- signal AC power supply by inverting its phase by 180 degrees, and by providing a selection switch unit and abnormality detection circuit. CONSTITUTION:Connecting a three-phase AC power supply to power terminals 1- 3 of transmitter S obtains main signal AC power supplies shifting in phase by 120 degrees equivalent to the power phase at terminals 7, 9 and 11, and sub-signal AC power supplies further phase-inverted by 180 degrees at terminals 8, 10 and 12. Next, alternate positive and negative signal waveform voltages selected by selection switch unit 45 are extracted corresponding to the output of a high-frequency oscillator and then sent to transmission line 83. Here, a receiver is provided with an abnormality detection circut to put an abnormality detection relay into operation. Thus, when the diode of the diode matrix circuit of the transmitter or receiver gets out of order, or when the phase absence of the three-phase AC power supply or main and sub signal AC power supplies occurs, it can securely be detected.
