Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a burner wherein the inner surface of the leading end of a secondary air port is formed by an arc or an archy polygon, and secondary air is supplied not only sidewise but in the downstream direction, thereby enabling to carry out low noise and high load combustion.
CONSTITUTION: A flame hole plate 3 provided with a flame hole 2 is arranged in the understream of a gaseous mixture chamber 1. A thbular secondary air passage 4 is arranged at the central part of the flame hole plate, and a large number of slit-like secondary air ports 5 are provided in parallel at the downstream side of said passage. The inner surface of the leading end of the secondary air port is formed into an arc. In the structure as described above, the gaseous mixture which has been exhausted through the flame hole carries out the primary combustion. This partial combustion gas is completely burned by secondary air supplied from the secondary air port sidewise and in the downstream direction. The secondary air is supplied to the outer flame part a the downstream of the inner flame at high flow rate, and does not give distrubance to the inner flame, and hence noise does not become loud. Further, the partial contact area of the combustion gas and secondary air becomes large, and the mixing operation is carried out rapidly and hence high load combustion is carried out.
