Abstract

PURPOSE: To allow the cross swing of a rod and the inclination of its axis and facilitate working, by providing an inside and an outside spherical surfaces on the input end of the piston of an actuator for a master cylinder or the like and supporting the tip of the rod between both the spherical surfaces so that the rod can swing.
CONSTITUTION: A hole 3h is provided in the input end of a piston 3b. The rod 1d is interlocked with a diaphragm not shown in Fig. A seat member 3d, which is made of synthetic resin and has an outside spherical surface 3g with a radius of Ri centering said point 1k, is fitted in the hole 3h at a prescribed distance from the inside spherical surface 3f. The tip of the rod 1d, which has a spherical surface 1j, is placed in contact with the inside spherical surface 3f. An annular seat 1m on a washer 1i fitted with the rod 1d is placed in contact with the outside spherical surface 3g. This results in providing a desired joint 2.
