Abstract

PURPOSE: To excellently isolate sections of a ship body by installing an oil densitometer on a bulkhead, by which a dangerous section of the ship body is isolated from a nondangerous section thereof, such that an emulsification portion of an emulsifier of the oil densitometer is positioned on the dangerous section side of the bulkhead and such that a drive means for the emulsification portion is positioned on the nondangerous section side of the bulkhead.
CONSTITUTION: The interior of a ship body 1 is divided by a bulkhead 2 into a dangerous section and a nondangerous section. An upper portion of the bulkhead 2 constitutes an explosion proof wall 3, by which the space above the ship body 1 is also divided into a dangerous section and a nondangerous section. In the dangerous section, a cargo tank 4, a pump room 5 and a first measuring chamber 6 provided. In the nondangerous section, an engine room 7, a second measuring chamber 8 and a control center room 9 are provided. The power from a pump 10 actuated by a drive source 14 provided in the engine room 7 is transmitted through a shaft 5 which is extended from the drive source 14 and passed through the bulkhead 2 as the shaft 5 is covered with a seal 16 having a high pressure resistance.
