Abstract

PURPOSE:To control temperature adequately even when an air conditioner's compressor is interrupted, by compensating the control characteristic of a thermal control circuit for transferring a damper to the low temperature side, when the interruption of compressor and a high atmospheric temperature above a preset level are detected. CONSTITUTION:When the compressor 13 is actuated by a power switch 28 in summer, a control circuit 34 controls the temperature in an automobile as designed, while a thermal compensating circuit 47 is out of operation. During intermediate seasons when temperature is mild, the switch 28 is open to interrupt the compressor 13, then a transistor 45 of the thermal compensating circuit 47 is on and the control circuit 34 adjusts the position of a thermal adjusting damper toward the side of lower level. This prevents the room temperature from rising due to the interruption of compressor 13. During the heating mode in winter, the switch 28 is open to interrupt the compressor 13, but the transistor 45 is off because the atmospheric temperature is low.
