Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve efficiency of splitting work and conduct the work rapidly and safely by such arrangement as to automate the feed and sawing of a pipe, in the case of inspection of troubles on inside of heat exchanger piping.
CONSTITUTION: Bearing members 2, 2' are spanned between guide stands 1 on a mount. A vertical shaft 4 set upright through each stand 1 is formed thereon with screws 5, 5'; a chain 7 is fitted around chain wheels 6; worm wheels 10 and 10' (not shown) fitted at the shaft ends of upper and lower rollers 3 and 3' (not shown) are engaged with worms 9 and 9', respectively; and chains 12 and 12' are fitted around chain wheels 11 and around chain wheels 11', respectively. A pipe a is fed forward while supported by rollers 3, 3' on the stands 1, and split into two along the center lines of its lateral surfaces by a pair of circular saws 13, 13'. Thus, efficiency of splitting work is improved, and the work can be carried out rapidly and safely.
