Abstract

PURPOSE:To attenuate twisting vibration for a wide range of load area, by keeping a driving friction plate and driven friction plate pressed to each other by means of spring force to increase their sliding torque in accordance with load on a driven member. CONSTITUTION:Engine power is transmitted to a driving spur gear 2 through a transmission T to control a driven gear 3 in accordance with the gear ratio of the spur gear 2. When the load on a relay shaft 4 is below the initial sliding torque of friction plates 16, 17 at this moment, the turning torque of the gear 3 is transmitted to the shaft 4 through a cam 7, external cylinder 14, spline 21, driving and driven plates 16, 17 engaged with each other and spline 22. As the load increases and exceeds the initial sliding torque of both friction plates 16, 17, skid is produced between both plates 16, 17, the cam 7 and a lifter 11 turn relatively and a leg 12 of the lifter 11 skids on a cam groove 9. Then the lifter 11 shifts to the right to increase the sliding torque.
