Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to transmit the ternary signal very easily with the transmission line of the same constitution conventionally, by combining the output of two sets of photo couplers where the respective light emitting elements are in antiparallel connection at the logic circuit in the reception section. CONSTITUTION:When the first input signal I1 is at H and the second input signal I2 is at L, since the output H is present from the first drive circuit 11, only the first photo coupler 21 is ON and output is obtained at the terminal T1. When the first input signal I1 is at L and the second input signal I0 is at H, since the output H is present from the second driver circuit 12, only the second photo coupler 22 is ON and output is obtained at the terminal T2. When the second input signal I2 is at L, the output of the first and second driver circuits 11, 12 is both at L and the first and second photo couplers 21 and 22 are both OFF and output is obtained at the terminal T3 via the AND circuit 25.
