Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a hollow formed article with inserts inside by press fixing insert parts held by a rod in a thermoplastic resin melted parison to the inner wall surface of the parison by the action of external press fixing boards and then blowing in air. CONSTITUTION:In a thermoplastic resin melted parison 1 extruded from or injection moulded in a die, insert parts 3, for example, wave preventing boards are fixed and heat welded to the inner wall surface of the parison 1 inside a metal die 4, and air is blown in through air blowing pins provided on the rod 2. Air may be blown in from some other air blowing pins after removing the rod 2. For the material of the insert parts 3, thermoplastic resins, metals, etc., can be used, but the same kind of a thermoplastic resin as the parison can be fixed easily by press fixing. Further, hollow formed articles having inserts such as inner tanks, partition boards, etc., can also be made.
