Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable simple structure to turn power OFF and also to discharge a tape automatically by making use of an electromagnet and spring. CONSTITUTION:Electromagnet 12 is arranged opposing to adsorbed part 16 of lock arm 14 pivoted on axis 15 and connected to chassis 1 at one end via spring 17. On the other hand, tension arm 34 and head base 35 are connected together by spring 36, and head base 35 and chassis 1 by spring 37; and ejection arm 43 and chassis 1 are connected by spring 48, and ejection arm 43 and set arm 2 by spring 49 respectively. Consequently, electromagnet 12 is deenergized simultaneously with the turning-off of the power to unlock arm 14 and while head base is returned via cam body 31 and charge arm 32, set arm 2 is turned via lock element 47 to move tape holder 4 to the discharge position, thereby discharging the tape.
