PURPOSE:To obtain a small-size repeater featuring the rigid structure and a high liquid density by providing the connective metal fittings holder with one end part attached to the pressure-resistant container storing the electric circuit of the repeater along with the metal disk incorporated to the other end each and bearing the tension with the pressure-resistant container. CONSTITUTION:Connective metal fittings holder 9 is attached to one end part of pressure-resistant container 8 which stores repeater electric circuit 7, and metal disk 11 coated with insulating coat 10 is provided at the other end of holder 9. Furthermore, the introduction part of submarine cable 1 featuring such structure as to coat over optical fiber 2 with pressure-resistant metal sleeve 13 is installed into holder 9 and then extruded through container 8. And the end of high tensile steel wire 4 of cable 1 is put into the hollow part featuring a larger diameter than the pierced part of disk 1, and then wire 4 is fixed firmly to disk 11 via adhesive 12.
