Abstract

PURPOSE:To dispense with twisting of electric wires before coiling, by preparing electric wires which can be bonded by fusion or adhesion as the primary and/or secondary electric wires for coils and by juxtaposing and fuse-bonding the electric wires or activating adhesion layers before winding the wires. CONSTITUTION:An electric wire 3, which is thermoplastic and can be fuse-bonded for a primary side, is delivered from a supply reel 1. Another electric wire 4, which is thermoplastic and can be fuse-bonded for a secondary side, is delivered from another supply reel 2. These electric wires are passed together through a heating unit 5 comprising a guide roll 8, a blower 10 and a heater 11 so that the wires are fuse-bonded to each other. The bonded wire 9 is wound around a transformer reel 6 being rotated by a rotary shaft 7. Each of the electric wires 3, 4 is made of a conductor coated with an insulating layer 21 of polyurethane resin, polyester resin or the like and a fuse-bonded layer 22 of polyvinyl butyral resin, epoxy resin or the like so that the electric wires 3, 4 do not need to be previously twisted together.
