Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a color magnetic recorder/reproducer featuring the reduced effect of the adjacent tracks even at the 4H recording time with variation of the tape speed by installing both the burst emphasis circuit and the 2H/4H change-over switch circuit.

CONSTITUTION: In the 4H recording time, unlike the 2H recording time, the signal with no emphasis of the burst by 6dB is drawn out of contact (k) in 2H/4H change- over switch circuit 14, and the operation itself of ACC circuit 6 has no difference from the 2H recording time. In other words, the color signal in which the burst is emphasized by 6dB enters the peak detection output, and thus color signal record output level becomes constant. And the signal before entering the burst emphsis circuit is drawn out from contact (i) of switch circuit 15 at the 4H reproducing time unlike the 2H reproducing time. In this case, the signal entering peak detection unit 7 is the color signal in which the burst is emphasized by 6dB, and thus the burst features the peak at all times. And the reproeuction output signal features a constant level.
