Abstract
PURPOSE: Insect pest repelling sheets in which insect pest repellents are held on the surface of sheets made of, e.g., paper, cloth, synthetic resin, metal foil, or the like and the sheets can be cut in any sizes on use to permit the sanitary application into cupbords, drawers and so forth.
CONSTITUTION: At least one surface of sheets made of paper, cloth, synthetic resin, metal foil or the like is coated with an insect pest repellent, e.g., 2,3,4,5-bis(Δ2- butylene)-tetrahydrofurfural, and the sheets can be readily cut into any size when used: for example, the sheets are perforated or notched so that it can be cut in only one direction. Said sheets are cut into appropriate sizes and placed on walls and floors of larders, cupboards, washing places, drawers, etc. to repell insect pests, e.g., flies or cockroaches. There is no trouble of being stained by insect pests and of leaving dead insects, whereby the repulsion is effected very sanitarily.
