Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a fluorescent lamp having excellent color rendering and high efficiency without providing two-layered phosphor coats or a pigment layer, by using a mixture of three different phosphors.
CONSTITUTION: A fluorescent lamp is provided with a fluorescent coat of a mixture of (A) one member selected from the bivalent europium-activated strontium chlorosilicate phosphors [Sr2Si3O8.2SrO.(1-n)P2O5.nB2O3: Eu], (B) one member selectedf rom the antimony- and manganese-activated calcium halophosphate phosphor [3Ca3(PO4)2.Ca(F.Cl)2:Sb, Mn], and the antimony and manganese- activated strontium halophosphate phosphor [3Sr3(PO4)2.Sr(F.Cl)2:Sb, Mn] and (C) the trivalent europium-activated yttrium oxysulfide phosphor [Y2O2S: Eu].
