Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a forming body of glass-fiber containing synthetic resin, having a high solvent resistance, shape-retaining property, appropriate rigidity and improved bonding performance to a coating layer, by causing secondary foaming with glass fibers being mixed to particles of primary foaming, and projecting glass fibers from the surface of the foam.
CONSTITUTION: After causing primary foaming of particles of foaming synthetic resin (for instance, polyolefin resins, vinyl aromatic resins, or polymers of polyolefin resin grafted with vinyl aromatic monomer and impregnated with foaming agent), secondary foaming is caused with addition of glass fibers. Then glass fibers are projected from the surface of foam thus obtained by way of cutting or other method.
EFFECT: Forming body and coating layer can be bonded together strongly by the function of glass fibers.
