Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide beautiful decorativeness and let the ware withstand long-term use by firing an enamel on the ware body having been formed with an oxide film then firing and setting cloisonne glaze.
CONSTITUTION: Anodic oxidation treatment is applied on the surface of a ware body 1 such as spoon made of stainless steel to form an oxide film 2 thereon. Thence, an enamel is baked to form an enamel layer 3, on which cloisonne glaze 4 is hand-drawn or sprinkled and is then fired and set. This method lets the ware body 1, enamel layer 3 and the layer of the cloisonne glaze 4 bond firmly, eliminates the defectives owing to the crazing, etc. of the closionne and yields the table ware combined with the productivity of the enamel and the decorative effect of cloisonne.
