Abstract

PURPOSE:To considerably reduce the consumption of coke and heavy oil by supply fuel and O2 as gas for blasting to the lower tuyeres of the blast furnace, removing CO2 from the recovered blast furnace gas and recirculating the same into the blast furnace after heating. CONSTITUTION:Part of O2 is blown together with circulating gas from the lower tuyere 4A of a blast furnace 1 and the other O2 as gas for blasting is blown together with heavy oil from the tuyere 4B. The furnace top gas is removed of dust by way of a capturing pipe 6, rising pipe 7, and dry and wet dust removers 9, 11. Part thereof is used as fuel for others and the greater part is removed of CO2 in a remover 17, after which it is boosted by a gas compressor 19, is heated by a heater 24 and is blown through a plurality of blow ports 27. Part thereof is passed through a heater 25 and is blown through the blow port 4A, whereby the gas is circulation- used. In this way, the concentration of the reducing gas may be increased, the direct reduction-reaction, etc. which cause endothermic reaction may be reduced and the considerable reduction of fuel ratio is made possible.
