Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for conventional lumping equipment of captured dusts and make possible the reduction in tuyere temperature and coke ratio by washing the dusts contained in the top gas of a blast furnace with heavy oil and blowing the thus obtained slurry into the tuyeres of the blast furnace.
CONSTITUTION: In a method of recovering dusts from the top gas of a blast furnace, the top gas from the blast furnace 1 is led via a dry type dust remover 3 to a dust capturing tower 5, where the dusts are washed with the heavy oil from a pump 7, whereby a slurry is formed. The supernatant of the above-mentioned resultant slurry in a mixing tank 6 is recirculated by a pump 9 and is blown to the tuyeres of the blast furnace 1 by way of a pump 10. In this way, the lowering in tuyere temperature and the decrease in coke ratio is made possible, the need for any separating, drying treatment and transporting means as in the prior art is eliminated and the saving of energy is realized.
