Next, when circuit 22 is closed by a clock from circuit 21, gate circuit 23 is opened to read record on tape 2 through the MR Hall element of head 1. Therefore, the recording time and reproducing time are separated by time division and even if the induction magnetic flux of the inductive head in recording mode would be applied, error reproduction, etc., through the MR Hall element never occurs, so that excellent read after write operation will be possible.
