Abstract
PURPOSE: To absorb the thermal expansion of a flange element and prevent the deterioration of a sealant with passage of time by a device wherein an insulation fiber is inserted between the flange end section and the recuperator side wall, and the sand or the like is filled between the recuperator side and the stub tube.
CONSTITUTION: An insulation fiber 14 is inserted between the flange 11 supporting the top end of the recuperator tube 9 and the side wall of the recuperator chamber. Further, the sand or the irregular shaped fire resistance material is filled between the stub tube 10 placed on the flange 11 and the side wall 12 of the recuperator chamber to seal also the top of the insulation fiber 14. This configuration allows the thermal expansion of the flange material to fully absorb by the elasticity of the insulation fiber, where the combustion air is sealed completely by double seal construction. Further, the leakage can be ranged about below 12W17% to extend the useful life of about 12W15 months.
