Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the twisted wires free from kinks, curls and flares with a simple mechanism by passing a plurality of wires from one axial center of a pair of rotating frames through its outside and leading the same from the other axial center into the frames and twisting them twice through revolution of the frame thence coiling the wires by way of a rotator of variable speed.
CONSTITUTION: Steel wire-form bodies 15... are led into the hollow part of a spindle 10 and are led into a cradle 1 by way of the end parts of the rotating frames 9, 9 and the spindle hollow part on the opposite side via rollers. Here, when the frames 9 make one turn, the wire-form bodies are twisted twice to become a twisted wire 16 which is then coiled several turns on the overtwist roller 6 of a rotator 7 above the axial line via rollers. After this, it is taken up by a take-up capstan 4 below the axial line and is coiled on a coiling reel 2 via traverse roller 3. Here, the twist pitches smaller than the standard are further given to the standard twist pitch twisted wire 16 having been coiled on the ovetwist roller 6, by the revolution of the rotator 7. The twisted wire 16 out from the overtwist roller 6 returns to the stabilized standard twist pitch.
