Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a heat resistant, sintered alloy excellent in toughness and wear resistance, which is composed of hard phase and high melting metallic phase, by specifying the composition of the alloy which comprises one or more members selected from the group consisting of Mo, W; one or more members selected from the group consisting of Ti, Zr, Hf; and C, N, O.
CONSTITUTION: The alloy comprises three element groups M1, M2, M3 shown by a diagram, and has a composition shown by a point surrounded by four points A, B, C, D. M1 in the diagram shown one or more members selected from the group consisting of Mo, W; M2 shows one or more members selected from the group consisting of Ti, Zr, Hf; and M3 shows C, N, O, which are in the following relations: 0.02 ≤ 0/(C+N+O) ≤ 0.5; O ≤ N/(C+N+O) ≤ 0.5; 0.02 ≤ (N+ O)/(C+N+O) < 0.6. Co-ordinates for A, B, C, D with respect to M1, M2, M3 are respectively, A:40, 25, 35; B: 55, 40, 5; C: 90, 5, 5; D: 55, 10, 35. This alloy is composed of a high melting metallic phase and a hard phase, both phases being dispersed uniformly because the two phases are manufacture by powder metallurgy. Oxygen containing in the alloy is present in the hard phase.
