Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of color phase irregularities, by keeping the temperature of a panel applied with fluorescent materials lower than a particular value to minimize the distortions of the panel glass due to compaction even when baking or fritting step is being carried out.
CONSTITUTION: In a process subsequent to the application of fluorescent materials onto the inner surface of the panel, the panel temperature is kept lower than 420°C even when the panel baking step is being carried out in which organic components are removed by heating the panel after the metal reflecting film is formed, or the frit baking step is being carried out in which the frit glass is sealed after combining the baked panel and a funnel applied with a inner electrical conductive film. Thus, the occurrence of color phase irregularities can be prevented within the tolerance of scanning position control of the electron beam even if the panel glass shrinks and deforms due to compaction.
