Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten arithmetic time by reducing coefficients of functions while simplifying arithmetic of intersections, by calculating intersections by regarding as a virtual origin the starting point of a correction locus or the center of a circle.
CONSTITUTION: Tape reader 4 reads a part program from tape 3 and then sends it to NC unit 5. Unit 5 sends data about coordinate values, a radius value and command code with respect to "i"-th locus Pi to cutter-diameter correction unit 6. According to the diameter of a cutter, unit 6 corrects locus Pi into correction locus Pi' and when locus Pi+1 close to the starting point of this locus Pi', the center of a circle or locus Pi is an arc, correction locus Pi+1' of locus Pi+1 is transformed into a coordinate system where the circle center is regarded as a virtual origin.
