Abstract

PURPOSE: Title composition that is made by adding an inorganic filler which has been made reactive by mixing with triacryloylhexahydro-s-triazine and a radical initiator, thus giving moldings with increased mechanical strength without any adverse effect on the surface properties.
CONSTITUTION: To 100parts by wt of a polyolefin resin or a mixture thereof with a solid rubber are added a reactive inorganic filler that is prepared by mixting 10W 400pts of an inorganic filler, e.g., calcium carbonate, together with 1,3,5-triacryloylhexahydro-s-triazine(TAF) and 0.01W5.0wt%, based on TAF, of a radical initiator, e.g., benzoyl peroxide, and they are kneaded under heating to effect the reactions. The amounts of TAF and the solid rubber are preferably 0.005W5.0pts. and 0.5pt. or less par 100pts.wt. of the composition of the polyolefin resin and the inorganic filler.
USE: Housing of acoustic instrument, piping, construction material, electrical appliances or toys.
