Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain rapid response and precise reproductivity by burying either or both of an inner pole for a comparison electrode and a temperature compensating element in the support tube of an electrochemical cell for a composite electrode, etc., for ion concentration measurement.
CONSTITUTION: In the inside wall of support tube 1 of a composite electrode, inner pole tube 8 for a comparison electrode and temperature compensating element 9 are buried. The pole part of tube 8 is connected to an inner liquid in the comparison electrode inside of comparison electrode part 5 via internal junction 13 such as filter paper. Sensitive film part 4, having sensitive film 3 and inner pole 6 for a glass electrode, is held airtight by O ring 14. Lead wire 12 of tube 8, inner pole 6 and the lead wire of element 9, etc., are connected to a lead wire provided to cap 2 of support tube 1. Liquid drain part 7 of comparison electrode part 5, made of porous material such as ceramic, is provided at the lower of support tube 1.
