Abstract

PURPOSE:To properly set ignition timing by fixing a pickup coil whose rotation is stopped when the leakage magnetic flux of a signal rotor has risen to the maximum value. CONSTITUTION:The leakage magnetic flux of a signal rotor 2 is detected with a fluxmeter 10 having a search coil 21 when a pickup coil is turned with respect to the rotor 2. The output of the fluxmeter 10 is amplified by an amplifier 11 and fed to a peak holder 12 which stores the maximum value of the leakage magnetic flux. The maximum value of the leakage magnetic flux is indicated by indicators 13 and 14 and, at this time, the coil 3 is fixed with the rotation thereof stopped.
