Abstract
PURPOSE: To economically recover high-concentration phosphoric acid regardless of its content by a method wherein a mineral acid is contacted with an organic solvent which contains phosphoric acid extracted from a solution contg. phosphoric acid so that phosphate ions are separated and recovered from the organic solvent, and the organic solvent is regenerated by use of a solution contg. Na etc.
CONSTITUTION: A phosphate ion-contg. solution is made to contact with an organic solvent consisting of one or more selected from a group of primary to tertiary amines and being diluted with petroleum hydrocarbon, so that the phosphate ions are transferred to the organic phase. Then, the organic phase is made to contact with a mineral acid, such as sulfuric acid, to separate and recover high-concentration phosphoric acid. The remaining organic phase is regenerated by contacting with a liquid containing Na, Ca, etc. If a solution to be treated is a dilute solution containing phosphoric acid about 10g/l or less, as the first process the solution is made to contact with a special porous anion exchange resin to allow phosphoric acid to be adsorbed. From this resin, phosphoric acid is recovered by use of mineral acid. The resin, after treatment, is regenerated by solution contg. Na etc. This first process is followed by the above-described process which employs the separated phosphoric acid as a solution to be treated using the organic solvent, so that high-concentration phosphoric acid is economically recovered.
