Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the handling of thin boards by a method wherein pieces of thin boards arranged in parallel on one supporting tool are transposed to another one all together, then the supporting direction is simply changed.
CONSTITUTION: A temporary supporting tool 6 is engaged with the wrong side up with the upper opening portion of a carrier 1 containing thin boards 4, and the thin boards 4 are transposed to the supporting tool 6 after being reversed. The thin boards 4 are held on the supporting tool 6 while holding down a fixed plate 6a and turning it reversely. Next bosses on the upper surface of a fixed board 8 of a lining- up tool 9 are fitted in the holes of two pieces of spreading boards 7-1, 7-2 to mount these on the fixed board 8, then the lining-up tool 9 is mounted on the board 8 by fitting the bosses of the fixed board 8 into the holes of the tool 9. By fitting the bosses of the supporting tool 9 and holes of the lining-up tool 9 together, and loosening the fixed board 6a, the total thin boards 4 are simultaneously transposed to the boards 7-1, 7-2. After removing the supporting tool 6 and the lining-up tool 9, the boards 7-1, 7-2 are taken out through using a tool 10, while changing the direction of the thin boards 4 so as to transfer them on a susceptor 11. The thin boards are not damaged nor contaminated when this method is used.
