Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the long-term vacuum storage of substances as well as raise all operating rate by using a system in which a chamber housed with a substance to be separated from a vacuum pump system while being held under a vacuum condition.
CONSTITUTION: The vacuum lid 33 is placed on the upper part of the opening of the housing chamber (bell jar) 22 for substances to be treated. Then, when rotating the lower coupling flange 41 and the piston bar 42 integrally connected with the flange 41 through 90° by the handle 46, the piston bar 42 becomes freely separable from the vacuum lid 33 and then makes a separating motion as the piston 39 rises. Then, the original cock 24 is closed and the leak valve 31 is opened to introduce air into manifold 23, during which the bell jar 22, which is enclosed under a vacuum condition, is demounted as it is to replace it by another bell jar 22. Thus, predetermined treatment can be performed for the substance 11 housed inside under vacuum without waiting for cooling time and therefore the operating rate of the device can be raised.
