Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate machining error due to a difference of linear expansion coefficient between a work and the shaft head, by controlling temperature of the head or work. CONSTITUTION:This machining device 10 is composed of a bed 11, feed gear 12, slide 14, shaft head 15 set on the slide 14, driving device 16 and jig 17 for positioning and clamping a work W. A thermal detector 25 set to the shaft head 15 senses temperature of the head and its output actuates a heater 23 or cooler 24 to control temperature of lubricating oil and subsequently temperature of the shaft head 15.
