Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate damage to the insulation layer associated with the thermal contraction and expansion of the winding by integrating the insulating material and the insulating layer of the winding with a lubricating material interposed between the insulating material and the suppoting member in supporting the winding end on the supporting member by way of an insulating material.
CONSTITUTION: When the end 3E of the stator winding 3 is supported on a supporting member 8 serving as a core clamping end plate by way of an insulating material 9, the insulating material 9 is bonded on an insulating layer 5 of the winding 3 while a lubricating substance 7b is interposed between the insulating material 9 and the supporting member 8. With such an arrangement, as the outer surface of the supporting member 8 is finished smooth by machining, the winding end 3E slides freely on the supporting member 8. Thus, there exists no damage to the insulating layer 5 regardless of heat expansion and contraction of the winding 3.
