Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the running characteristics of an electric motor vehicle by increasing the conductivity increasing rate at its power running time as the operating angle of an accelerator pedal is widened and setting the conductivity increasing rate at plugging braking time at linear state with respect to the operating angle of the accelerator pedal.
CONSTITUTION: A switch 26 is switched to normally open state at power running time of an electric motor vehicle to energize a conductivity control signal generator circuit 23 synchronously with a voltage controlled oscillator 18. Thus, a chopper 4 is controlled to drive a motor 3. At this time a plugging detector circuit 19 does not operate, and the output terminal 21 of a comparator 20 accordingly becomes conductive and an earth potential. The output terminal 22 of the comparator 20 is deenergized. Thus, the potential of the movable contact 8 of a variable resistor 7 is applied through a high resistor 31 to the non-inverted input of an operational amplifier 15 as it is. Accordingly, the non-earth side 45 of a capacitor 14 becomes equal potential to the movable contact 8. Thus, the input potential of the voltage controlled oscillator 18 is determined by the depressing angle of the accelerator pedal. The conductivity increasing rate of the chopper is increased with respect to the depressing angle of the accelerator pedal by suitably selecting the resistance value of the resistors 7, 30.
