Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a mold for foam-molding which permits effectively removing a spilt, foamed product during a mold releasing operation and which has an excellent deaeration effect, by providing the mold with conical deaeration ports which are outwardly converged and which are formed such that the outer end portions of the deaeration ports have a predetermined diameter. CONSTITUTION:Each of deaeration ports 1 is conically formed such as to be converged toward the outer end thereof, and each of edges 7 has an acute angle. The diameter (d) of the outer end portion of the port 1 is 0.1-2mm. A resin placed in the mold is raised toward an upper mold 3 as the foaming thereof progresses, and the air accumulated in the mold is discharged to the atmosphere so that the cavity in the mold is completely filled with the foamed resin. When the foaming reaction has further progressed, the foamed resin is pressed against the inner surface of the mold which defines the cavity so that the foamed resin is spilt from the deaeration ports due to the foaming pressure to be formed into a foamd product 6. Since the diameter of the edge 7 of each of the deaeration ports 1 is small, the amount of foamed product 6 spilt from the ports 1 is small. When a molded product 5 is released from the mold, it can be completely separated from the foamed product 6 owing to the edge effect of the edges 7.
