Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate to remove the fins produced for the vent by a method wherein the upper die or the lower die of the foam molding die is splitted into a plural units in a thickness direction, a vent being provided for the desired location of the die having the cavities, a hole being provided for the parting plane of the split die located opposing to the outlet thereof. CONSTITUTION:A vent hole 9 is provided for the middle die 2 of the foam molding die comprising the lower die 1, the middle die 2, and the upper die 3, where a hole 11 is provided for the upper die 3 located in opposing to the outlet of the vent 9 to retain the resin leaked from the vent hole. This allows the foamed resin filled in the cavity 10' to foam fluidly in an arrow direction by action of foaming agent, where the gas developed from the cavity 10' is compressed by the foam to discharge into the hole 11 from the gas vent hole 9, allowing the resin together with gas to produce and solidify the foaming material 12 within the hole 11. After solidifying the molding 10, the molding 10 and the foaming material 12 are cut at 9' position by opening the die. This enables to prevent the resin from getting blocked in the vent 9 since the length of the vent hole 9 is short.
