Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the measurement for the long-size hard magnetic substance with no cut-off by exciting the tubular electromagnet containing the measured magnetic substance, the magnetic field intensity detection element, the magnetic flux detection element each with the power source featuring the different current directions.
CONSTITUTION: Measured magnetic substance 15 is provided into oblong rotary oval electromagnet 14 and in parallel to the axle, and coil 16 is installed to the face vertical to the axle and at the center of magnet 14 in ordet to detect the internal magnetic field intensity of the magnet 14, along with coil 17 to detect the magnetic flux of substance 15 each. The output of these coils 16 and 17 are led to integrators 20 and 21 to be displayed to display unit 24. In such constitution, magnet 14 is excited twice or more, for example, in the plus-minus-plus way by the pulse major current given from magnet pluse power source 19 and featuring the different current directions. Thus the characteristics approximate to the state of actual use can be measured in an extremely short time without cutting off the long-size bar magnet.
