Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a unific overdrive gear and a main shaft of a speed change gear by stepping-up the diameter of positions of a shaft corresponding to the high- speed gear, low-speed gear and overdrive gear.
CONSTITUTION: Gears are fitted on a main shaft 5 at the respective positions from the left end through the middle part of the shaft 5. A third gear 15, a second gear 16 and a low gear 17 are disposed at positions 36, 37 and 38 resepctively. The huts 18a and 19a of synchronizers 18 and 19 are disposed at positions 39 and 40 respectively. Splines are formed on the positions 39 and 40. The diameters of the positions are successionally stepped-up from the position 39, 36, 37, 40, and up to 38, so that the overdrive gear 20 can be formed on the right end of the main shaft 5 in a single unit.
