Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise the accuracy of angle and reduce the cost of a step motor, by causing the step motor to perform plural times of step motion to effect one time of rotation. CONSTITUTION:When a pulse (a) is applied to the input side of a multiple pulse generator 1, a plurality of pulses, for example, four pulses (b) sequentially appear on the output side. A driving circuit 2, which receives the output pulses, moves a step motor 3 stepwise by 90 deg. at the first output pulse and also moves the motor stepwise by 90 deg. at each of the other output pulses. Therefore, the step motor 3 is returned to the original position by the four output pulses. Even if the angular error in each step motion is large, the positive and negative angular errors in the step motions are cancelled by one another. As a result, the step motor 3 is finally stopped in the original position and the total angular error is reduced.
