Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the construction simple with a higher mounting accuracy of the vortex generating body by inserting the vortex generating mechanism through and fix it to a hole cut through the conduit line of the vortex flowmeter unit in such a manner as to be done so.
CONSTITUTION: The vortex flowmeter 1 has a conduit line composed of an expanded opening 2, a progressive choke 3 and a straight pipe 4 while is provided with a pair of mounting holes 5. Holes 6 are so arranged above and below the straight pipe 4 to insert the vortex generation mechanism b. The vortex generation mechanism b is bonded on the insertion hole 6 with an adhesive 8 or the like as inserted thereinto. A flow rectifying device is mounted on the opening 2 and a pair of ultrasonic transmitting and receiving mechanism 10 are fixed to the holes 5. A sound absorbing material 11 is provided along the inner wall of the conduit line. With such an arrangement, as the vortex generation mechanism b is in no way fixed with a screw or the like, it can be positioned in place with high accuracy without being deformed.
