Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a piece uniformly and tightly coated with a plastic, by coating a primary plastic layer on a substrate by a pressure method and coating a secondary plastic layer on the primary one by a sheath method. CONSTITUTION:When a substrate 4 is conveyed in the direction of an arrow, primary molten plastic 7 squeezed by a lip 8 and flows down is thrusted by a roll 9 and coated on the substrate 4 in a pressure coating process. Secondary molten plastic 11 flowing down from another lip 12 is coated on a primary plastic layer 22 by a gap adjusting plate 15 in a sheath coating process. This results in providing a plastic-coated piece 20. EFFECT:The advantages of both a pressure method and a sheath method are utilized to enable uniform and tight coating and facilitate coating on the joint of a substrate. Any additional process for a perforated substrate is not needed.
