Abstract
PURPOSE: To control the rotating speed of a speed change gear shaft through a flow control valve in an automatic transmission by providing an input hollow eccentric shaft to cancel the torque reaction of an output shaft to thereby eliminate the load of the speed change gear shaft.
CONSTITUTION: An input shaft internal contact gear 2 is provided at an input shaft 1 to make an engagement with a primary input gear 3. The gear 3 and a secondary gear 5 are journaled on an input shaft 4, which is eccentrically passed through a hollow shaft 10 having a frictional clutch 23. A planetary gear 6 couples the gear 5, a planetary gear 7, a gear pump gear 12, and the gear 7 couples the output shaft 9. Oil is flown from a pressure compensating flow control valve 14 through a guide plate 16 into the gears 12, 13 of a gear pump. When the input shaft 1 is rotated to rotate the output shaft via a planetary gear operation, the gear 7 is altered to normally rotate under the control of the valve 14 to thereby eliminate the load of the output shaft 9 for free rotation.
