Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare an anisotropic magnet with excellent cutting processability, mechanical strength and high coercive force by a method wherein an anisotropic Mn-Al-C series alloy magnet is ground to a specific size and remolded and sintered.
CONSTITUTION: An anisotropy imparted Mn-Al-C series magne is introduced into a grinding machine and ground for 30minW1hr so as to obtain particles of which a particle diameter dimension is below 300μ and an average particle diameter is 100W 150μ. By this grinding treatment with this time degree, a magnetic flux density value of ground magnet powder is not almost reduced. This ground magnet powder is remolded and sintered. Becase a stock material is a low cost material such as Mn. Al, C or the like and high price Co is not entirely used, an anisotropic magnet can be prepared in a low cost. Moreover, if a magnet with a large diameter is prepared, a magnet having magnetizing force to a diameter direction and wide range use can be obtained.
