Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:Carboxylic acid esters of formula I [R1, R2, R3, R4 and R3, R4 and R5 are H or methyl; R6 and R7 are H, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxyl, or R6 and R7 together form methylenedioxy; R is formula II (R8 is H, cyano or ethynyl; R9 is lower alkyl; n is 0W2; R10 is allyl, propargyl, thenyl, furylmethyl, etc.; A is S or N), etc.].
EXAMPLE: 2, 3-Dimethylmaleimid-N-yl-methyl α-cyclopropyl-( 4-chlorophenyl )acetate.
USE: Insecticides and miticides effective to sanitary vermin such as a fly, agricultural vermin such as green rice leafhopper, etc. The low toxicity of the compound enables the application to the crops just before harvesting, glass culture use, food packaging material, etc.
PROCESS: Compounds of formula I are obtained by the reaction of carboxylic acids of formula III or reactive derivatives thereof with alcohols of formula RX (X is hydroxyl, etc.).
