Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent position deviations of printing points by letting the rise times of driving waveforms change with respect to high and low of the vibrating voltage being applied to a vibrating means and evening the flying speed of ink particles irrespective of the sizes of the particles. CONSTITUTION:As the speed of ink particles is increased in the case of a low voltage applied to a vibrating means, the rise times of the driving waveforms to be applied to a piezoelectric element are shortened. Namely, by changing the rise times DELTATC, DELTATD, DELTATE in such a way that the curves of the rise of the respective driving waveforms C, D, E, approximately unify, the displacement accelerations of the diaphragm become approximately the same even at the high driving voltage and low driving voltage. When the displacement acceleration of the diaphragm and the flying speed of the ink particles are not linear owing to the viscosity of ink, etc., the driving waveforms are selected in compliance with the characteristics of the head. Thereby, the flying speed of the ink particles may be evened and the position deviations of the printing points may be prevented.
