Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a warhead explode invariable near a target plane under no influence of a relative speed between a guidance flying body and the target plate, by changing the beam direction of a proximity fuse according to the relative speed. CONSTITUTION:Once guidance flying body 1 is discharged, the speed detector detects a relative speed between it and target plane 2 and converts the speed into an equivalent signal. This signal passes through the frequency control circuit and is then applied to the transmitter, thereby varying an oscillation frequency. By the frequency of the signal, an output signal transmitted from the transmitter to the antenna makes angle 4 against the axis of a beam small as shown by 5, when the relative speed is high, to shorten the time until the detection of target 2, and also make angle 4 large as shown 6, when the relative speed is low, to prolong the time until the detection of target 2 throug the movement of antenna 7. In this way, the radiation direction of the beam of a proximity fuse is changed corresponding to a relative speed with target plane 2, so that a warhead can be made to explode timing with the relative speed.
