Abstract
A projectile 1 whose trajectory is corrected by the lateral ejection of an auxiliary projectile 14 from a diametral housing at or near the centre of gravity of the projectile, comprises a rocket motor 7 for propelling the projectile at a constant velocity during the main part of its flight, profiled stabilization fins 4 for spinning the projectile at a constant period, a propellant charge 13 for the auxiliary projectile, and a firing circuit (not shown) responsive to a means 18 for receiving electromagnetic, infra-red or magnetic waves emitted or reflected by a target, or a laser beam reflected by the target. The projectile includes a hollow charge 9 and a plastics cap 19 opaque to the radiation from the target. In a modification two or more auxiliary projectiles may be used.
