Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit a drain valve means provided on the bottom of a tank to be removed or mounted through the top of the tank for easy and safe preservation and inspection of the valve.
CONSTITUTION: Openings 3, 4 are provided on the top and bottom of a tank 1. A drain valve means 5 is provided between both opening 3, 4 so as to be removed from and mounted on the tank 1. In the preservation and inspection of the drain valve means 5 and others, the valve 5 can be removed upward from the tank 1 together with a cover member 7 through the opening 3 to permit the interchange of a packing 18 and others. Thus operators have neither to enter the tank 1 nor completely discharge the content.
