Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure a high-accuracy checking for the cell even with the lower voltage by giving the multiple voltage rectification to the oscillation output of the oscillator circuit which is driven by the cell and thus obtaining the power voltage for the smoke detector.
CONSTITUTION: The oscillation output of oscillator circuit 2 which is driven by one unit of cell 1 is boosted and rectified by voltage multiplication circuit 3, and the voltage boosted and rectified becomes the power voltage of the smoke detector. The power voltage is stabilized through reference voltage generator circuit 6 to be used as the reference voltage for detection of the cell voltages as well as to form the reference voltage of comparator 5. On the other hand, the comparison output of comparator 5 supplies directly the voltage of cell 1 and is then compared with the above mentioned reference voltage. Output circuit 7 connected to the output terminal of comparator 5 generates the detection signal for the cell run-down when the output of comparator 5 generated when the cell voltage becomes less than the reference voltage is supplied. Thus, the reference voltage obtained by stabilizing the power voltage is compared with the cell voltage, ensuring a high-accuracy checking for the cell even with the low-voltage power source.
